Janay Bankston had 12 kills and
Jennifer Marsh added nine as the two freshmen led the Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team Wednesday night.
No. 20 Cal State L.A., however, came away with a 25-14, 25-18, 21-25, 25-14 win over the Warriors. The Golden Eagles improved to 20-8 overall and 16-5 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.
The Warriors dropped to 10-19, 4-17 in the CCAA.
Amanda Pielstick had 13 digs and
Lianne Vicchio added six kills and 12 digs for the Warriors.
Marquis Mora had 13 kills and five total blocks while Gabriela Bulawczyk added 11 kills and 11 digs for the Golden Eagles.
Cal State Stanislaus, in a rare Wednesday-Thursday road trip, completes its season on Thursday in Carson at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Video broadcast of Thursday's match, at 7 p.m., will be featured on the Toros website, GoToros.com/live.
