Schramm, Domitrovich added to Women's Soccer coaching staff

TURLOCK – Cal State Stanislaus women's soccer head coach Gabriel Bolton announced the hiring of Casey Schramm and the promotion of Sally Domitrovich as assistant coaches this week.

“Casey is the perfect fit for our team,” said Bolton.  “He is an experienced coach with excellent credentials both as a coach and as a goalkeeper trainer.”

Schramm, who will also retain his position as assistant coach for the men's soccer team, will be primarily responsible for coaching the goalkeepers with the women's team and coordinating all recruiting efforts.  He will also be involved in all other aspects of the program.

Schramm has his degree from Fresno State in Recreation Administration and Leisure Studies.  From 2000 to 2004 he was on active duty with the United State Marine Corps.  He played soccer for the All-Marine soccer team in the All Armed Forces tournament.  After returning from active duty he coached for the Cal Odyssey Soccer Club in Fresno before joining the Cal State Stanislaus men's soccer coaching staff in 2008.

“The fact that Casey has played for (interim men's head coach Ahmad) Tousi and has coached with him was one of the big reasons I wanted him on our staff,” said Bolton.  “He is going to bring tremendous knowledge to our program.”

Bolton also announced that Domitrovich has been promoted to assistant coach.  Domitrovich, who worked with the program as a student assistant this past season, will be responsible for working with the defense and for technical skill training.

“Sally has been a loyal and hard working member of our staff for the past year,” Bolton said.  “She understands the game very well.  Our defenders will benefit tremendously from having someone with Sally's experience and knowledge working with them on a daily basis.”

A Modesto native, Domitrovich was a standout player at Beyer High School before heading off to UC Santa Barbara where she played for two years until she transferred to Cal State Stanislaus.  She has coaching experience at the high school and club level.  Domitrovich will also be involved in recruiting.

“There is nobody that has a better knowledge of the local high school and club scene than Sally,” said Bolton.  “She knows everyone in the soccer community and she will be a huge boost to our local recruiting.”
