NAMPA, Idaho — Four different Warrior scored while the defense and goalkeepers continued to put up zeros as the Cal State Stanislaus women's soccer team blanked host Northwest Nazarene, 4-0, on Monday.

With another shutout victory, Stanislaus improved to 4-0-0 and recorded its fourth straight regular season shutout. In six total matches this year, including two exhibition contests, the Warriors have out-scored opponents 13-0.

"It is great to go on the road and sweep two games," CSUS head coach Gabriel Bolton said. "This weekend was a team effort and a great way to go into conference play."

The Warriors, ranked No. 7 in the West Region prior to Tuesdays new poll, will begin California Collegiate Athletic Association play on Friday when they travel to Rohnert Park to take on Sonoma State.

In Monday's match against NNU (2-1-2), Lisa Garcia connected with Allison Freel's cross just 68 seconds into the match to give Stanislaus an early lead. It was Garcia's fourth score of the season.

Two more early scores gave the Warriors a 3-0 lead less than 18 minutes in. Shelby Cargile scored at 11:34 and less than seven minutes later in the 18th minute mark, Marissa Dunaway gave the Warriors a 3-0 lead on an 8-yard shot.

"We executed the things we discussed in our meetings and pregame preparations very well," Bolton added.

Jade Adamson gave the Warriors a fourth score in the 77th minute mark for the final count. Dunaway, Bernadette Bettencourt and Hilary Callahan each were credited with assists on the day.

Defensively, the Warriors again turned the opposing attack away. NNU managed three shots on goal -- all picked up by Jessica Sitarz who was credited with the win and three saves.

CSUS defense and goalkeepers have not allowed a score in nearly 400 regular season minutes in four matches.
