TURLOCK — The Cal State Stanislaus track and field teams will host five home meets, including the annual high school invitational, this spring as head coach Geoff Bradshaw announced the 2012 schedule.
The Warriors begin the outdoor season on Saturday, Feb. 18 when they host the Alumni/All-Comers meet. This meet usually attracts mostly former student-athletes and some community track athletes.
Cal State Stanislaus will host the Stanislaus Open Invitational the following Saturday, on Feb. 25, where it will feature collegiate and junior college programs, as well as former student-athletes. Alums are also welcome to compete at this event.
The annual
Kim Duyst Invitational, named after former head coach and current Associate Athletics Director, is slated for March 3. The final collegiate home meet will be on May 11 during the CSUS Twilight, which serves as a last chance meet prior to individuals qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
The Warriors will also host the 30th annual Al Brenda Athletic Club High School Invitational on March 17. Most of the area high schools will participate in event.
All home meets are held at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium and begins at 9 a.m. The Twilight meet is at 2 p.m.
