The Cal State Stanislaus men's basketball team played an entertaining second half to pull away from a tight game as the Warriors stay undefeated at home with a 80-68 win over Cal State Monterey Bay.

Marcus Bell notched his eighth double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead all scorers.
Shey Mataele and
Chris Read each chipped in 12 points and
Rob Walters added 10 points and nine rebounds.
Clinton Tremelling made three three-pointers in the first half and
Sam Marcus again ran the offense extremely well and earned seven assists.
Bell scored 15 of his points in the second half and only missed one field goal to finish 8-for-9 for the night. He also converted on 7 of his 12 free throw tries.
The Warriors have won three straight games at home with double-digit victory margins. Last weekend the Warriors beat Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills by 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Cal State Monterey Bay controlled the tempo and the game in the first half and even built an eight-point lead with 8:46 to play before intermission.
But the Warriors used an 8-2 run to start the second half to take its their first lead since before the first media timeout of the game at 43-41 just three minutes into the second.
The Otters would re-take the lead until Stanislaus caught fire.
An 8-0 run turned a three-point deficit into a five-point lead at 10:22 — a rallied capped by a Walters layup, which put the Otters in the rear view mirrors.
By the time the 3-minute mark rolled around, the Warriors lead had grew into a 16-point advantage highlighted by a Bell dunk at 3:02 to make it 72-56.
During that run, the Warriors dazzled with defensive rebounds, transition baskets, sharp shooting and of course a lot of nice drive-and-dish from Marcus. It also helped that the team shot 57.6 percent from the floor in the second half before finishing the night 30-for-54 overall (55.6 percent).
Cal State Monterey Bay (4-8, 2-7 CCAA) was led by Ryan Nitz with 21 points. Alex Fertig added 14.
Cal State East Bay, loser of three straight, lost at Chico State, 83-75 Friday night. The Pioneers will visit Fitzpatrick Arena Saturday night for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
