Alone At The Top
With a four-game winning streak, Cal State Stanislaus is alone at the top of the CCAA standings and that's just fine by the Warriors. Cal Poly Pomona lost to Cal State L.A. Saturday night to allow the Warriors to take a one-game lead in the standings. The Warriors look to end the first half (11 CCAA games) as conference leaders with a win on Friday.

Four-Game Win-Streak
The Warriors posted their first four-game winning streak this season over the past two weekends and look to build on the momentum. Since the start of December, the Warriors are 9-2. Last season, during the championship run, the Warriors had winning streaks of five, four and nine games.

CCAA Player Of The Week
For the second consecutive week, a Warrior was named the CCAA's men's basketball player of the Week. Chris Read picked up the honor after shooting 53.6 percent to score 37 points. He averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and there assists a game in two games. He also made six of 11 three-pointers (54.5 percent).

Read More About Chris
Chris Read was a major piece of the puzzle for success last week as the senior scored 16 points with three rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in Friday's narrow win over Sonoma State. He then tagged on 21 points (and made 5 of 8 three-pointers) in Saturday's runaway win over SF State.

Bartole Was Huge, Too
Wes Bartole also came up big last weekend with two more double-figure games. He tallied 32 points and 15 rebounds in two games, including four steals against Sonoma State. He has scored in double figures in six consecutive games.

Another Double-Double For Walters
With 17 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday, Rob Walters earned another double-double, his third this season (out of the last four games) and 12th of his career. Over the past four games, he's amassed 62 points and 41 rebounds (15.5 ppg and 10.3 rpg).

Home Sweet Home At The Fitz
The Warriors will take a two-game break from the stretch as they will play 8 of 10 games at home. So far this season, Stanislaus is 5-1 at Fitzpatrick Arena, where they were 12-2 in in 2013-14 (9-2 in CCAA games).

Road Warriors
The Road Warriors are 5-2 this season away from Fitzpatrick Arena. They are 4-1 in CCAA road games with the only loss at Cal Poly Pomona.

Holding On To Leads
One of the reasons for this season's success is the Warriors' ability to hold on their late leads. Stanislaus is now 11-0 this season with a lead at the 5-minute left to play mark. This included the loss at Cal Poly Pomona, when, even though the Warriors led by five at 3:01 to go, the Broncos were up by one at 5-to-go.

Strong On The Boards
Cal State Stanislaus out-rebounded both opponents last week and continues to be among the better rebounding teams in the CCAA. The Warriors have now out-rebounded teams 11times and that translated into an 9-1 record in those games. Rob Walters and Wes Bartole (7.1 rpg) are tied for fourth in the CCAA in rebounding.

20-Win Seasons
Last year's 23-win season was the program's  fourth 20-plus wins season:

20-Win Seasons
1986-87    Bob Thomason    20-8
1988-89    John Jones    21-8
1992-93    John Jones    20-8
2013-14    Larry Reynolds    23-9

Program's Best Record
Cal State Stanislaus set a program record with 23 wins in 2013-14, more than doubled the win-total from the previous year (10). The last time a Stanislaus team posted 20 wins was in 1992-93 under John Jones (20-8), the only other time a Warrior team had 20 wins since Cal State Stanislaus became a Division II program.

CCAA Basketball Championships
The 2014-15 CCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Championship tournament will be held March 5-7. Six teams qualify for the event to be held at the Stockton Arena in Stockton. The winner of the tournament would receive the automatic bid for the NCAA tournament.

CCAA Preseason Coaches Poll
The defending CCAA tournament champions Cal State Stanislaus Warriors were picked to finished third this season in a preseason poll of the league's head coaches. The Warriors received two first-place votes and earned 98 points, 10 points behind Cal State San Bernardino, which was picked to finish second. Cal Poly Pomona, which received eight first place votes, was the favor to win the 2014-15 title.
